                                    The Three Little Pigs

   Objectives:

-to develop and stimulate students “skills”;
-to expand students “vocabulary”;
-to involve students into reading, writing, communicative activities.

   Aids:

students` books, cards with the tasks, paintings, tape recorder, cards.

                                               Procedure

   1.Warming up “Guess who/what am I”

T: I show you 10 pictures and your task is write the names of the things and objects:

  2.Introduction

T: Dear friends. So, the theme of our lesson is home-reading “The Little Pigs”. Who has read the story to the end? Great! Fantastic!

Was it difficult to read the story? Why? Or why not? And who is ready for the lesson? That`s awful! Join us now.

   We shall speak about our tale, we`ll read the (work) text, listen to the tape recorder and the students` thoughts, discuss the problem, write some tasks. Why is this lesson important for us? We`ll practice our language, activate the vocabulary in the work, develop our speech.

3. Checking up the homework
Your home task was to prepare the second part of the tale.

Hands on your hips!
Hands on your knees!
Put them behind, if you please!
Touch your shoulders!
Touch your nose!
And then sit down!

6. A work with the text
The first task is to act the tale. The second task is to translate. Open your book at page 161. Let’s check how you understand the story. I’ll tell you the story and you’ll correct me if I am not right.
1.Father Pig lived in a palace. What’s wrong?
2.Ah, Mother Pig lived in a little hut.
3.So Mother Pig had 7 little pigs.
4.When they grew up Mother Pig said:”Let’s live together.
5The First Little Pig built a house of glass.
6.The First Little Pig was very said.
7. The good young Mr Fox came along.
8.When Mr Wolf asked, the first pig opened the door and let Mr Wolf in. The Wolf huffed and puffed but didn’t blow the house down.

Now answer  my questions about the second pig.
-Did the second pig leave home?
-What kind of house did he build?
-Did the Bad Old Mr. Wolf come to his house?
What did the Wolf do to the second pig’s house?
7.I.Complete the sentences

1.The first pig was happy because…….
2.The second pig was happy because….
3.The third pig was clever because……
4.A bad Wolf wanted……
5.A bad Wolf blew out….
6.A bad Wolf couldn’t blow out.
7. A Wolf  came down.

II. Put the sentences in the logical order.
A Bad Wolf  came up to the third little pig’s house and said:”Little pig, little pig, open the door and let me in”.
The first little pig ran away.
The second little pig didn’t open the door.
The house was very strong.
Then the other two little pigs came back.
They all danced and sang.
The Wolf couldn’t blow the brick house down.
Mr. Wolf climbed on the top of the house.
The Wolf will never trouble little pigs any more.
The Wolf came down the chimney and fell into the pan of hot oil.
He made a big fire in the fireplace.
